Refunds and Cancellation

Last updated 27 August 2026

Being outbid is not a refundable event

The most important thing to understand before you pay. A world is held, not owned outright. Anyone may take it from you at any time by paying at least $1 more than you paid. When that happens you are not refunded — the payment bought you the time you held it, and it is not a deposit. You keep your product page at the same address, and a station in orbit around the world you lost.

We say this first because it is the most common misunderstanding. Losing a world is the product working as intended, not a fault.

When we will refund you

Your right to cancel

If you are buying as a consumer rather than for a business, you normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase.

Buying a world is immediate: the world becomes yours and your page goes live the moment payment settles. By completing checkout you ask us to begin straight away and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once we have done so. This is stated again at the point of purchase.

Where the right still applies and you have not yet been delivered a world, contact us and we will refund you.

Pro subscriptions

Cancel any time from your product page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law requires it.

How to ask

Email hello@afterimage-dev.com with the address you paid with and which world it concerns.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with.
